H. E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong Attends the Opening Ceremony of China-Ireland Higher Education Forum
On March 20, H. E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, attended the opening ceremony of China-Ireland Higher Education Forum held at Clontarf Castle Dublin and delivered warm remarks. Commending education as a lofty cause for the future, Ambassador Yue expressed China’s readiness to further deepen links with Ireland in the area of higher education. He outlined the fruitful higher education cooperation and exchanges between China and Ireland in recent years, and expressed his delight that the forum is helping the higher education institutions in both countries to join hands in their common internationalization drive, thus creating opportunities for their students in a culturally diversified world, and empowering each side for a stronger education to meet the new challenges ahead.
The forum was jointly organized by China Education Association for International Exchanges (CEAIE) and Education in Ireland. Led by Mr. Zhao Lingshan, Secretary General of CEAIE，a delegation of 73 members mostly from 33 prestigious Chinese universities attended the forum. The delegation also conducted a “Study in China” higher education exhibition in Dublin on March 20, and visited University College Dublin and Trinity College.
